COMMERCIAL AIR CONDITIONING

How do we install commercial air conditioning?

We design and install commercial air conditioning across offices, retail units, small industrial premises, restaurants and server rooms. Systems are specified to the actual heat load and the layout of the space, using ducted and cassette installations that keep the interior clean. We work directly to occupier brief or to consultant and contractor specifications.

Commercial air conditioning can sit alongside gas and heating under a single planned maintenance contract — one visit covers both disciplines where scope allows, one compliance record for all HVAC plant. Cross-refer to our commercial services page for the wider commercial gas and heating offer.

Design to site load

Heat load calculated to the space, orientation and use. Plant sized to the demand, not defaulted from a catalogue. Longevity over overspecification.

Discreet ducted install

Concealed ceiling cassettes, linear diffusers and ducted grilles. Plant runs above ceiling voids, interior finish preserved, low visual impact.

F-Gas record kept

Refrigerant logs maintained under F-Gas Regulation. Leak checks scheduled to plant size. Records shared for audits, insurers and new occupiers.

DOMESTIC AIR CONDITIONING

Do we install air conditioning in homes?

Yes. For homes across Essex and East London, we install air conditioning that delivers reliable cooling without disrupting the interior. Ducted installations run through ceiling voids and lofts to feed multiple rooms through discreet vents or diffusers. Single-room installations suit bedrooms, home offices and living spaces where whole-home ducting is not practical.

Every install is designed to the property and the way the space is used. Quiet operation, discreet placement and clean interior finish are the standing brief. Where a client is already a boiler or gas safety customer, we can combine servicing visits under one appointment.

Air conditioning install & service

Whole-home ducted

Ducting run through ceiling voids or lofts. Multiple rooms served from a single condenser. Vents or diffusers finish flush to the ceiling line.

Single-room systems

Bedrooms, home offices and living spaces cooled without whole-home works. Quiet units, discreet placement, minimal disturbance.

Quiet residential run

Plant selected for low decibel output. Condenser sited to reduce neighbour impact. Interior units chosen for even airflow at low fan speeds.

SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE

How does air conditioning servicing work?

Air conditioning needs regular servicing to run efficiently and to meet F-Gas Regulation record-keeping duties. A service covers filter clean or replacement, coil condition, drainage, electrical checks, refrigerant charge and leak checks scheduled to the plant size. Findings are recorded and any remedial work is quoted before it starts.

We service systems we install and systems installed by others. Where an installation predates current documentation, we can build a fresh F-Gas record from an initial site visit. Recurring service plans are available on annual or biannual visit schedules, alone or combined with gas and heating under a single PPM contract.

Annual and biannual plans

Recurring service visits scheduled to plant size and use. Reminders sent ahead of each visit. Records held on your behalf between visits.

Servicing any brand

Systems installed by other engineers can be picked up onto a service plan. Initial site visit assesses the plant and establishes an F-Gas record.

F-GAS REGULATION

Why does F-Gas certification matter?

Air conditioning systems use fluorinated greenhouse gases as refrigerants. Under the F-Gas Regulation, only certified engineers and certified businesses are permitted to install, service and decommission equipment containing these refrigerants, or to handle the refrigerant itself. Using an uncertified installer is unlawful, invalidates most manufacturer warranties and creates liability for the site owner.

CP12 Gas Heating and Cooling holds F-Gas certification at company level, and individual engineers hold the personal certifications required for the work they carry out. Statutory leak checks, refrigerant handling and end-of-life recovery are all covered in-house. Our Compliance Hub sets out the F-Gas duties for commercial premises in more detail.

FROM SURVEY TO AFTERCARE

What happens when you book an air conditioning install?

Every job runs the same six-step process, from first site visit through to aftercare. Timescales vary with scope, access and lead time on plant, but the sequence is consistent. Quotes are firm before any order is placed and commissioning records are issued at handover.

1

Site survey

Walk-through of the space, load assessment, discussion of plant location, ceiling voids, condenser position and cable and pipe routes.

2

System design

Plant specified to the calculated load. Indoor unit placement, diffuser or grille layout, condenser location and pipework route drawn up.

3

Firm quote

Written quote covering plant, labour, commissioning, F-Gas registration and aftercare. Firm figures, itemised, no unexpected additions.

4

Installation

Install to the agreed design. Site protected, works kept tidy, day-to-day disruption minimised. Timescale confirmed at the start of works.

5

Commissioning

System charged, tested and commissioned. Benchmark registration, F-Gas log opened, handover pack issued with all records.

6

Aftercare

Handover into a service plan or PPM contract. Continuity of engineer, plant history retained, warranties supported through the term.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Air conditioning installation questions

Yes. CP12 Gas Heating and Cooling holds F-Gas certification at company level, and individual engineers hold the personal certifications required for the refrigerant work they carry out. F-Gas certification is a legal requirement for any business installing, servicing or decommissioning air conditioning containing fluorinated refrigerants.

Yes. We install ducted and cassette systems in offices, retail units, small industrial premises, restaurants and server rooms across Essex and East London. Design input at consultant and contractor level is welcomed. Systems can be brought under a combined gas, heating and air conditioning PPM contract.

A single-room domestic install typically completes in one to two days. Whole-home ducted installations take longer depending on ceiling access and pipe routes. Commercial installs vary with plant size and site access. A firm timescale is confirmed at quote stage before any order is placed.

Yes. We take on systems installed by other engineers under a service plan or one-off visit. An initial site visit assesses the plant and, where documentation is missing, we can build a fresh F-Gas record from the visit onwards.

We install ducted systems and cassette systems for commercial and domestic settings. Concealed ceiling units, linear diffusers and ducted grilles keep the interior finish clean. Plant is specified to the calculated load rather than a default catalogue size.
